In preparation for the Euros 2020 tournament, we met up with some mon éclat Queens who shared some of their girl powered football experiences!

Football is NOT just a man's sport! Girls play Football Too! Women like Louisa Necib and Megan Rapinoe continue to serve as inspiration to all those girls & women who aspire to become professional footballers.
Ahead of the EUROS (The UEFA European Football Championship) we set out to find some mon éclat Queens who play or have played footie in the past and love the game as much or more than their male friends!

Meet Ylenia Grech who has played footie for 7 years and currently plays for Malta's U19 Team.
Ylenia plays in the central midfielder/winger position and loves football because it helps her to stay active and express her feelings whenever she's stressed or down.
She describes playing football as this great feeling of satisfaction that has helped to shape her character both on and off the pitch. Rather than a distraction, she sees it as a necessary break from her academic studies that helps her feel refuelled and reenergised to continue studying and persevering.

Meet Justyne Joy Caruana, who has played footie for 8 years, describes playing for the national team and her country as an honour.
Justyne plays Goalkeeper position and says that football has been her passion since she was a little girl. She looks forward to every training session and every game. Football has not only given her physical skills but also helps her grow as a person and shape her character. She will always be thankful to football for giving her the opportunity to form part of a team.

Amy Grech Pirotta
Meet Amy Grech Pirotta, a multi-talented girl who played football for many years before needing to take a break due to injuries. These days Amy still has a love for the sport but also enjoys travelling, running and also modelling. She's therefore the peeeerfect Queen to be the footie girl of our EUROS campaign.
